There are far to many news stories for me to summarize here. Now that the long-awaited official announcement seems to be just around the corner, news outlets are flush with stories about Fred and the impact he will have on the race.
One of the better articles comes from Bob Novak, who pulled no punches when panning Sen. Thompson's recent speech to the Lincoln Club in California. He mentions that in this article as well, but also touches on some of the things that will make Thompson a viable threat in this race.

I'm not sure...If we're going to have someone from Law and Order, should we be so quick to rule out Sam Waterston? He seemed really Presidentialish in that tv movie about Lincoln where Mrs. Lincoln was played by Mary Richards and Secretary of State Seward was the guy from "Soap."
